Scientology beliefs revolve around the thetan, the individualized expression of the cosmic source, or life force, named after the Greek letter theta (θ). The thetan is the true identity of a person – an intrinsically good, omniscient, non-material core capable of unlimited creativity.
In the primordial past, thetans brought the material universe into being largely for their own pleasure. The universe has no independent reality, but derives its apparent reality from the fact that most thetans agree it exists. Thetans fell from grace when they began to identify with their creation, rather than their original state of spiritual purity. Eventually they lost their memory of their true nature, along with the associated spiritual and creative powers. As a result, thetans came to think of themselves as nothing but embodied beings.

The life force, life energy, divine energy, élan vital, or by any other name, the energy peculiar to life which acts upon material in the physical universe and animates it, mobilizes it and changed it. It is susceptable to alteration in character and vibration, at which time it becomes enturbulated theta or entheta. 3. theta is thought, an energy of its own universe analogous to energy in the physical universe but only occasionally paralleling electromagnetic-gravity laws. The three primary components of theta are affinity, reality and communication. 4. reason, serenity, stability, happiness, cheerful emotion, persistence, and other factors which man ordinarily considers desirable. 5. an energy existing seperate and distinct from the physical universe. 6. Greek for thought or life or the spirit. 7. not a nothingless. It just happens to be an exterior thing to this universe- so you couldnt talk about it in this universe’s terms.
I loved the part about how there was a test that asked a person to look at a picture while their brain was attached to a device to see brain activity. They looked at the picture, and their brain lit up. Then this person was asked to close his eyes and think of that same picture. Their brain lit up. This proved that your brain cant tell the diference between what is being seen, and what is imagination. So then, who was observing the picture in the brain? This stumped scientists very much.
Science is stuck in physicality. They are truly primitive. They believe what is real is what can be measured, seen, felt etc. For proof to be considered actual truth to them, must be measurable. They have physical proof that there is somethin more to physicality, but they dont have the more as physical proof. But its kind of a paradox, because you cant reach ultimate truth through the physical, because truth is not physical. Its impossible. What is definite proof though, is that there is something more to the physical. And that Is something that they will never be able to explain in science.
I believe it is the other universe, the superior universe. The life drive in all living things. You can call it God, you can call out whatever you want, but it is US. It is all of us, together. It is not risidual in us, it what we are, and it is us that reside in things.
You are an imortal spirit. You have a body and a mind.
Your brain is a steering wheel. You as a spirit drive the body via the brain. Your mind is a backpack which you carry around from lifetime to lifetime full of memories and data. You are the observer, you are the conscienceness that observes and evaluates data. You are superior.
Yes. A short exercise can quickly answer this for anyone: Ask someone to close their eyes and get a picture of a cat, and they will get a mental image picture of a cat. Ask them who is looking at the picture of the cat and they will respond “I am.” That which is looking at the cat is you, a spirit. One is a spirit, who has a mind and occupies a body. You are you in a body.
